This privacy statement is prepared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Data we collect
When you use the website dubrovnikproperties.com.hr, we may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identification and contact details (name and surname, e‑mail address, telephone number) that you voluntarily provide via the contact form, user account registration or direct enquiry.
- Property‑related data you enter when placing an advert (e.g. location, description, photos), taking care that personal data of natural persons are not published without a valid legal basis.
- Technical data on website use (IP address, browser type, language, date and time of access, URLs of pages visited, cookies).
Purposes and legal bases of processing
Personal data are processed only to the extent necessary for the following purposes:
- Responding to enquiries, communicating about properties and providing requested information (performance of a contract and legitimate interest).
- Enabling registration and use of a user account on the Dubrovnik Properties Directory platform, including publishing and administering property listings (performance of a contract).
- Maintaining website security, preventing misuse and compiling anonymous statistics on website visits (legitimate interest).
If in the future we introduce a newsletter or other marketing services based on consent, personal data will be processed on the basis of your prior consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Basic functioning of the website and user account (necessary cookies).
- Improving functionality and, where implemented, statistical monitoring of visits through web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics or similar).

- Authorised employees of DUBROVNIK PROPERTIES responsible for customer support and platform administration.
- Contractual partners (e.g. hosting provider and IT support) acting as processors on the basis of a written agreement and processing personal data only in accordance with our instructions.
Personal data are not transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA, unless this is necessary for the provision of a particular service and appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the GDPR.
Data retention periods

- Data from enquiries and e‑mail communication are usually kept for up to 2 years after the communication has ended, unless a contractual relationship has been established or there is a legal obligation to keep them longer.
- Data related to user accounts and published listings are kept for the duration of the account and listing and for a reasonable period after the account/listing is deactivated (e.g. up to 5 years for the protection of legal claims).
After the expiry of the required period, data are deleted or anonymised in a secure manner.
Your rights
In relation to the processing of personal data, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data and information on processing.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate and completion of incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in cases provided for by the GDPR.
- Right to restriction of processing in certain situations.

- Right to data portability, where applicable.
